Terms of Service

1. Purpose

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern access to and use of the Helvetseo service, available at https://helvetseo.ch.

Helvetseo is an automated SEO audit tool intended for website owners, in particular those targeting the Swiss market.

2. Service operator

  • Operator: Ethan Valentin Besson, sole proprietorship (not registered with the Commercial Register — turnover below the threshold of art. 36 of the Swiss Commercial Register Ordinance, HRegV)

3. Acceptance of the Terms

By submitting a URL in the audit form or by completing a payment, you accept these Terms and our Privacy Policy. If you do not accept these terms, do not use the service.

4. Description of the service

Helvetseo offers:

  • An automated SEO audit of a website starting from a public URL, in approximately 60 seconds
  • A multilingual report (French, German, Italian, English) generated by artificial intelligence, based on a technical analysis (speed, structure, tags) and a semantic analysis (content, keywords, Swiss local relevance)
  • A free preview (one analysis item per category)
  • A paid full report (CHF 9 one-off per audit) with access to all analysis items, detailed recommendations and PDF export

5. No user account

The service operates without registration: no account is created and no email address is sent to us (except indirectly via the payment processor Lemon Squeezy when you make a purchase).

Access to a paid report is provided through a cryptographically signed link (HMAC-SHA256) sent after payment, to be kept for the validity period (24 h).

6. Pricing and payment

6.1 Free preview

The initial audit and the report preview (1 item per category, overall score, top 3 priorities) are free and without commitment.

6.2 Full report

Unlocking the full report is charged at CHF 9 (VAT included), payable in a single transaction via Lemon Squeezy (our Merchant of Record). The accepted payment methods depend on Lemon Squeezy (credit card, PayPal, etc.).

6.3 Invoicing

Lemon Squeezy issues an official invoice sent to the email provided at purchase, valid for your accounting records.

7. Refunds

The service is delivered immediately after payment (instant digital delivery).

  • Right of withdrawal: in accordance with art. 40a para. 2 of the Swiss Code of Obligations (SCO), distance selling of an immediately executed digital service does not give rise to a right of withdrawal once the report has been unlocked.
  • Discretionary refund: in case of an obvious defect (empty report, generation error, audit not delivered), a full refund may be requested within 14 days by email to contact@helvetseo.ch. The operator reviews each request on a case-by-case basis.

8. Permitted use

8.1 Compliant use

The service must be used to audit websites that you own or for which you have explicit authorisation. Auditing a third-party site in order to publicise its weaknesses without authorisation may constitute misuse.

8.2 Prohibited uses

It is prohibited to:

  • Submit URLs pointing to private or internal addresses, localhost, or infrastructure endpoints (AWS metadata, Kubernetes, etc.) — these are blocked automatically in any case
  • Submit URLs to illegal or defamatory content or content that infringes third-party rights
  • Circumvent the rate-limiting mechanisms via proxies, rotating IPs or large-scale automation
  • Attempt to scrape, copy or redistribute the generated reports in order to build a competing service
  • Use the service for amplification attacks or offensive reconnaissance
  • Repeatedly submit the same URL with the aim of exhausting the operator's paid API quotas

9. Ownership of content and of the report

9.1 Audited content

You are solely responsible for the content present at the submitted URL. The public content that is scraped remains the property of its author; we use it only to generate the report.

9.2 Generated report

The audit report (text, structure, recommendations) is provided to you for personal or internal professional use. You may share it with your team, your agency or your client. Mass or commercial redistribution (resale, publication in an aggregator) is not permitted without written consent.

10. Service availability

10.1 No SLA guarantee

The service is provided "as is". We do not offer any guarantee of availability, response time, or specific outcome.

10.2 External dependencies

Operation depends on third-party services (Vercel, Anthropic, Google PageSpeed, Lemon Squeezy). Unavailability of any of these services may result in a partial or complete interruption of Helvetseo, without giving rise to compensation beyond the possible refund of an undelivered audit.

11. Limitation of liability

To the extent permitted by mandatory Swiss law, Helvetseo and its operator disclaim all liability for:

  • The accuracy, completeness or relevance of recommendations generated by AI — they constitute a decision-making aid, not certified professional advice
  • The consequences of incorrect implementation of the recommendations on your website (loss of traffic, SEO downgrade, etc.)
  • Loss of data due to the automatic expiration of an audit that has not been saved
  • Outages, bugs or cyberattacks affecting the service

The operator's total liability is capped at the amount paid by the user for the audit concerned (typically CHF 9).

12. Intellectual property

The name "Helvetseo", the logo, the visual identity, the design and the source code of the site are the property of the operator. Any unauthorised reproduction or use is prohibited.

13. Suspension and termination

The operator reserves the right to:

  • Block an IP address temporarily or permanently in case of abuse
  • Refuse a refund in case of obvious fraud or use that is contrary to the Terms
  • Modify or remove a feature at any time with reasonable notice

14. Changes to the Terms

The Terms may be amended. The applicable version is the one in force at the time of audit submission or payment. Substantial changes will be announced on the home page for at least 30 days.

15. Governing law and jurisdiction

These Terms are governed by Swiss law, to the exclusion of its conflict-of-laws rules and of the Vienna Convention on Contracts for the International Sale of Goods (CISG).

Any dispute shall be submitted to the exclusive jurisdiction of the ordinary courts of the Canton of Geneva (Switzerland), subject to the mandatory venues provided for by Swiss law for consumer contracts.

17. Governing language version

This translation is provided for informational purposes only. In case of any discrepancy or interpretive doubt, the French original version of the Terms shall exclusively prevail.
